 THREE full PRCA performances!

Silver State Stampede 2020  has taken incredible planning and assurances at the State, City, County and PRCA levels to see this event come to fruition. We have promised state and local leaders as well as the PRCA that we will follow all directives to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. It is extremely important for us to keep our local community healthy as well as the visitors into our community.
These are the COVID-19 Requirements:
* Everyone will pass a health screening at the front gate. Please try to arrive early so that this will not cause any delays. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m.
* Always wear a facial covering in public (children age 9 and younger are excluded). Contestants may only remove their facial covering to complete. Please bring your own facial covering or you will be given one to use.
* Always maintain a social distance of at least six feet from non-household members.
* Wash hands frequently, use hand sanitizer between hand washings. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the venue.
* Do not sit or gather with non-household members or people you didn't come with. There will be blocked off seating throughout the grandstands and we appreciate your cooperation in sitting where allowed.

PRCA Rodeo:
The Silver State Stampede is the oldest rodeo in Nevada. The tradition of Elko’s annual rodeo started in 1913 when GS Garcia, the world-famous bit, spur, and saddle maker, decided that northern Nevada cowboys needed a rodeo, and the town needed the added entertainment and income.
Today’s Stampede has grown into a multi-faceted event, showcasing the best of rodeo and ranch cowboys alike. The Stampede won the award for Best Small Rodeo in the Wilderness Circuit. four out of five years--in 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007 and in 2008 won Best Medium-Sized Rodeo in the PRCA Wilderness Circuit.

The PRCA stock contractor is the Bar T Rodeo Company of Chester, Utah, which is owned and operated by the Kerby family. With 50 years of experience producing professional rodeos, Bar T brings to Elko some of the best stock in the industry. Members of the Cowboy Rodeo Hall of Fame, Kerbys have sent stock to the National Finals Rodeo every year since 1959. They won the PRCA Best Remuda Award in 2006 and in 2011 for their great bucking stock.

Winners  The Stampede is extremely unique in that it is the only professional rodeo to offer Garcia spurs to event winners.

Event purses for the rodeo total over $20,000, with $3,000 designated for each event.
