2010 Silver State Stampede Results
PRCA Rodeo Results
The Silver State Stampede is the only professional rodeo to offer Garcia spurs to event winners. In  addition, there is also an added purse of $3250 per event.

  • Bareback riding was won by Elko native Paul Jones, with a score of 84 on Bar T Rodeo’s horse, Brown Robin.   There were 26 entries in the bareback riding. ·

  • Tie-down roping was won by JC Malone of Roy, UT, with a time of 8.2 seconds.  There was a total of 49 entries.

    • Saddle bronc riding was won by Jesse Wright of Milford, UT, with a score of 87 on Bar T’s horse, Robin’s Best.  In addition to the Garcia spurs, Wright will also receive a hand-crafted miniature bronc saddle by Elko saddle maker Bill Maupin.  There were 27 saddle bronc riders.

    • Steer wrestling was won by Casey McMillen of Redmond, OR, with a time of 4 seconds flat.  There were 37 steer wrestlers.

    • Team roping was won with a time of 5.4, split with a tie by Kaden and Rhen Richard from Roosevelt, UT, and Blaine Linaweaver of Leavenworth, KS, and Wade Hooker of Winchester, CA.  There was a total of 27 teams.

    • Barrel racing was won by Norma Wood of West Jordan, UT, with a time of 16.02.  There were 36 entries.

    • Bull riding was won by Hutch Haslam of Morgan, UT, with a score of 83 on Bar T’s bull, All Fired Up.  There were 27 entries.

    • The All-Around winner was Wyatt Smith of Rexburg, ID, who competed in steer wrestling and saddle bronc riding.

Old West Bronc Riding
Bucking horses for the Old West Bronc Riding were provided by Wally and Teola Blossom of Owyhee.  Judges this year were Ira Slagowski and Charley Gardner, both ranch cowboys and former NFR qualifiers from northern Nevada.
The elimination round, known as the long-go, was won by Jake McKay of Wells, with a score of 78.  McKay won $1200, a certificate for a pair of custom made boots by Kelly Martin, and a bedroll quilt made by Timmy Lyn DeLong, Christy Stanton, and Samme Engelson.
Nolan O’Leary and Pook Hoots split second and third in the long go, each receiving $750.  One will receive spur straps donated by Amanda Lewis, and one will receive a mecate donated by B Braiding. Splitting fourth place in the long go were Dalton Jim and Jake Flint, receiving $150 apiece.
The winner of the championship round, known as the short go, was Eli Burr, with a score of 82.  Burr won $500.  Second was Isaiah Jones with a score of 77.  Jones received $250.
The overall event winner was determined by the total score on two head.  The 2010 champion is Eli Burr, who scored a 73 in the elimination round and an 82 in the championship round, for a total of 155.   Burr received a trophy buckle donated by Skyline Silversmiths and the Silver State Stampede Association; a pair of Garcia spurs donated by JM Capriola Co; and $1200.  His name will also be added to the new trophy, which is a Remington bronze donated by Western Horseman magazine.  Burr was also the 2003 champion.
Splitting second and third in the average were Pook Hoots and Dalton Jim, each receiving $750.  Isaiah Jones was fourth, winning $300.
