Old West Bronc Riding:
In the tradition of old-time buckaroos, this is an
exciting ranch-style bronc riding is held in conjunction with the PRCA
rodeo. The event is open to amateur and professional contestants alike.
Entrants ride in the stock saddles they work in every day, to simulate
actual working conditions of authentic modern-day cowboys and buckaroos.
Every effort has been made to make this event "contestant friendly."
For 2013, the entry fee is $200. The OWBR winner will be determined
on one ride, Friday and Saturday nights. The event is limited to 24 riders.
- $200 entry fee; $125 taken out for stock charge.
Remainder plus added money will be paid. A minimum of $3000 will be
added.
- Championship buckle will be awarded to high scoring
ride. In the event of a tie for first place, there will be a ride-off
for the buckle and prize monies will be split. Other prizes will be
awarded as available depending upon sponsorship. Top four places will be
paid 40%--30%--20%--10%.
- Early entries are encouraged. Must include $100
deposit. Remaining $100 must be paid before the start of the PRCA
performance.
